LL

1) Load line (or loadline) - also called the 'Plimsoll line'. An internationally recognized marking on the external hull of a ship showing the lowest legal level at which it may sit in the water when fully laden (ie the line must not be submerged).

The actual position of the line varies according to the waters in which the ship is sailing and the season of the year.
