Band 3 radio
1) Radio channels operating on the old 405-line black and white television VHF wavelength. Available for mobile communication between a base station and mobile unit for brief messages only. Currently operated by two official franchise holders, GEC and Band Three Radio, each with 200 channels. Although limited in use it is cheaper to operate than the cell-phone system.
