Turbo-compounding
1) Latest technology in engine design (eg from Scania). System for increasing power output by converting heated exhaust (ie waste) gases into energy. Uses second turbine mounted 'downstream' from standard turbocharger. Second turbine transmits power from exhaust gases via gear train direct to flywheel.
