Roller-bed floor
1) Floor accommodating many rollers (ie like large ball bearings) which can be raised hydraulically to allow easy manual movement of pallets, etc in any direction to achieve maximum space utilization, and then lowered to leave flat, solid floor on which pallets will not move. Found mainly in aircraft freight holds and in some goods vehicles.

1) Also written as RO/RO. Form of ferry ship (mainly used on short-sea crossings) which accommodates wheeled freight (and other) traffic.
