Integrated transport

1) The key transport philosophy of the UK government in which not only bus and train services are integrated, but also where integration takes place in a wider scope.

That is, between thinking and action, bus and train, passenger and freight, regional and national, public and private, services all working together as idealized in the government's White Paper on the Future of Transport: 'ANew Deal for Transport - Better for Everyone' published in July 1998.
