Mobility

1) The ability to move. Frequently used in the context of the mobility allowance - a state benefit to help people with difficulties in moving about. Mobility is essential for people to get food, medical help and many other life essentials.

A particular problem for people living in rural and remote areas and for the elderly and infirm. Lack of mobility can lead to reduced living standards (even deprivation) among these classes of people.
