Overheads

1) The costs of a business which are not directly attributable to its operations (in the case of haulage, the costs of running the office/ administration - telephones/postage/bank charges/legal and accounting fees, etc).

In transport, often called establishment costs. Usually the first (and best) place to look when seeking cost savings.
