Recycling

1) The process of turning old/used/scrap/waste material into new products. The recycling process usually involves crushing and/or heating (melting down) the material first.

A major element in protection of the environment - ie reusing scare resources. In the transport context, glass is recycled and used as a constituent of road surfacing material.
