Оборотный документ (negotiable document) 1) выступающий в качестве титула собственности документ, который может быть продан, заложен, передан другому владельцу. В торговом мореплавании, в частности, к О. д. относятся такие товарораспорядительные документы, как коносамент, складочное свидетельство. О том, что данный экземпляр документа является оборотным, т. е. может служить предметом сделки, свидетельствует наносимая на него надпись «Negotiable copy».
