TIR carnet 1) Approved customs document (printed in French) which accompanies TIR consignments showing full details of journey/load/ packaging, etc. Voucher removed and counterfoil stamped by Customs on departure, at each border crossing and on arrival. TIR 1) Transports International Routiers. Convention on the International Transport of Goods by Road (TIR Carnets) 1959, which allows goods in Customs sealed vehicles/containers (accompanied by TIR Carnet - see below) to transit countries and cross borders with minimum of formalities (ie inspection of goods). |
