Stored energy
1) Regarding vehicle braking systems, parking brakes must be capable of meeting efficiency requirement without the assistance of stored energy (ie without air/vacuum assistance). For these purposes, energy stored in a compressed spring is not counted as being stored - see Spring brakes.

Stock turn
